The Band

The Bob Sterling Band is comprised of some of the hottest players in the area. Bob is very selective about who he invites to the stage to play along with him. That means that the audience can be assured of top level talent and musical execution. To that end, Bob has assembled one of the finest bands in the area. They are: Bob Farina, Drums, Ricky Zayas, Keyboards, and Kenny Joniec, Bass. Together, and under the direction of Bob, they produce some of the hottest original jams and melodies you'll ever hear. Check out the demo page and listen for yourself.

Wade Matthews 1955-2005

Wade Matthews
In memory of my friend Wade Matthews... your notes will be heard forever... God Bless
Wade Matthews
My dear friend, confidant, and fellow musician Wade Matthews passed away on August 18, 2005. He produced and played bass on my CD "Pier Pressure." Wade was a kind, considerate, very witty, and extremely funny individual. He also was one of the best bass player/musicians in the world. He played with the great Jaco Pastorious, and they had a mutual respect for each other. There was no sheet music he couldn't sight read, and he could play any style of music. The right way. But what astonished me the most about Wade was his deep harmonic knowledge. Never have I played with a bass player that had such knowledge of chord changes. Because of that experience, Wade could look at a melody or series of chord changes, and play extraordinary ideas as only he could. He was and always will be an inspiration to me.
God bless you Wade. I love you, miss you and will never forget you.
